Delete your worst photos, you’ll need room for these great ones! Ride The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway 2.5 miles along the cliffs of Chino Canyon and Mt. San Jacinto State Park. Be wowed by dazzling mountain valleys as you head towards the 2,596 meter-high Mountain Station, and take a guided walk with a volunteer.
Mount San Jacinto State Park volunteers conduct these walks Sundays from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, and they’re a wonderful way to learn about the natural environment at the top of the world’s largest rotating tram car!
These walks feature a choice of two easy trails–the Desert View Trail, a 1½-mile walk beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the Long Valley Nature Trail, a ¾-mile loop beginning at 1:30 p.m. No advance registration is required and there is no charge. Don’t forget to wear flat, comfortable shoes.

Getting There
There are no public transport links from Palm Springs, but all taxi companies will take passengers to the Valley Station.
Instructions
Before you buy
- Kids 2 and under get in free, please pick up a free ticket for them on-site
- Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (21+)
- Pets are not allowed, except service dogs
On-site usage
- Present your smartphone voucher at the ticketing booth to receive your tram ticket
- After you’ve redeemed your voucher, you will be assigned a ride on the next available tram
After your visit
- Download the Tiqets app or save your voucher offline as there’s no WiFi or mobile service at the station. Please bring photo ID to redeem
- This voucher is non-refundable, has no cash value and can’t be redeemed outside the valid date shown
- Please note that waiting times can be longer during peak hours and holidays
